The Miami Circle® is an ancient archeological site located at Brickell Point in Downtown Miami. Some scholars believe that it was built by the Tequestas who inhabited the area from 2000 years ago up until the time of the Ponce de Leon's visit. Other scholars believe that the site is more like 10,000 to 13,000 years old and inhabited by an earlier population.

The Miami Circle® is important because it is believed to be the only cut-in-rock prehistoric structural footprint ever found in eastern North America. People from all over the world donated money to save the site that was discovered when a building was razed to build a highrise. It is now preserved with a park and a museum. It was designated a National Historic Landmark by the U.S. Department of the Interior in January, 2009. The park was opened on February 23, 2011. We are proud to be working with HistoryMiami to bring you this event.

Mexican Muralist Diego Rosales will be giving free mini-lectures about his mural "A la tierra prometida" at the Miami Dade college Wolfson Campus. He illustrates through his mural his theory on the lost continent of Atlantis. Volunteer guides will lead groups over to the college a few blocks away.
